🎓Study at Stanford no matter where you are and what you do!
Why am I taking 2 courses at Stanford yearly
❓If we do not need a university diploma to learn something new, grow personally and professionally, switch job or speak languages, why do we spend time on courses and readings?
🎓Nowadays there is a tons of universities, schools, courses and even books. How to define high-quality education without a “certificate” criteria? It is quite obvious that we live in the world where free information is everywhere and content itself is not a differential factor anymore.
📚 Content is not unique, what unique is the ratio of course value to time and money combined. I can not afford spending 2 years researching by myself for an answers and guidelines, testing different useless approaches, missing opportunities and spending time ineffectively.
In 2021 great education equals:
📊 High quality expert summary based on lessons learned from real experience Someone spent hours summing up information or has a unique experience and learnings from it. You can’t google how to become a Google PM lead or switch a job effectively. I adore learning from the leading experts.
🧪”Learning by doing” practice with assignments made for your success. Basic knowledge without practice will be 80% less applicable. Applying information right away and getting the feedback will lift knowledge to a different level and transfer it into instruments.
🤝Access to community, practice as a team and learn from each other. People and environment is what drives us to grow and inspire to dream big, peer-to-peer coaching is a modern valuable way of learning.
👩🏼🏫 Personalized professors’ advices and personal 1:1 coaching with such people will cost me a ton of money and in some cases I wont be able to have an access to such people
💲Higher motivation to complete the course. It is simple: Cost means Commitment.
🚫 I am strongly against time-wasting and low-quality content. That is why I dont spend time joining clubhouse: they don’t have agenda and I don’t have expectations, I can’t increase speed or pause and move to the next chapter. For me it is basically a waste of time.
🆕 I wish to enroll in tons of courses, My next favorite is creative writing or fundraising.
My latest Product Management Courses: Product Management by Stanford Continuous Studies and GoPractice PM simulator #highlyrecommended (recommended by Google and Amazon PM). Each of it costs over $600 for 2-3 months and worth it. I reimbursed 1/2 of it as a part of my company learning budget.
Spending money on education is an investment in your future, not a cost!
