These interview rules are relevant to ANY company, industry, role and job interview. Answering them well makes you be the best “FIT”.
Each interview preparation starts with your homework: preparing and practicing stories about your experience, summarizing company research, and learning more about the interviewer. Look back at your experience, highlight favorite moments and achievements and be ready to structure it.
✅ Enjoy stories checklist and tick-mark everything!
1️⃣ “THE questions” homework is done: you have at least 1 story for each qn ☝🏼
Tell me about yourself.
Why Are You Interested in This Role?
Why Did You Leave?
Why Are You the Best Candidate for the Job?
Do You Have Any Questions for Me?
2️⃣ Follow “Naked woman with a knife” rule (meaning the story is memorable)🔪
3️⃣ Each story is structured (for example, using STAR framework) 📰
4️⃣ Each story is achievement oriented (clear achievement over process) 🥇
5️⃣ I am creative and avoiding obvious weak answers (please avoid: “I want to work at Google because of perks”) 🎨
6️⃣ I “walked the extra mile” in preparation (go deeper into company culture, norms, unique elements) 🙋♀️
7️⃣ I practiced telling each story 3+ times ⏯
Practicing responses using these rules will be helpful for you before you walk into your interviews:)
🙋♀️Answering “Tell me about yourself”.
